Arsenal will be worried the deal with Man City for Gabriel Jesus will collapse, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the Gunners "need to get their act together or top-four will be a distant memory".

A club source told Football Insider last week (5 June) that they have agreed personal terms with Jesus and were increasingly confident of completing a deal.

The 25-year-old worked under Mikel Arteta when he was a coach at Man City and is keen to link up with him again.

"Arsenal need to get their act together or top-four will be a distant memory for them," Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

"Arsenal will be frustrated because the longer the Jesus deal goes on, they will be nervous. Is it going to get done? Is he going to come?

"It’s nervous times for Arsenal fans because they need midfielders as well, they need a right-back. For me, there’s plenty of positions in that team that need replacements. They need two strikers, not just one.

"I know they’ve brought in Marquinhos but you don’t know how good he’s going to be at 19 years of age.

"Arsenal need to get their act together otherwise they’re just going to be a Europa League team and that’s not what the fans want."

Arsenal

Arsenal currently have no senior strikers on their books for the 2022-23 season.

They confirmed in their retained list last week (10 June) that Alexandre Lacazette has left the club while Eddie Nketiah is in talks over a new deal.
