Arsenal open talks over Gabriel deal - sources
Arsenal have opened contract negotiations with Gabriel Magalhaes, sources have told Football Insider.
Discussions between the two parties are in the early stages at the moment, and nothing concrete has taken place so far.
The Gunners want to keep their stars at the club and the 26-year-old is considered one of those, but there is nothing imminent at the moment in terms of a resolution to discussions.
The Brazil international has been a consistent member of Mikel Arteta’s squad since he joined the club in 2020.
Gabriel has made 172 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions, scoring 16 goals for the club.
The centre-back is currently under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2027.

Gabriel has formed a defensive partnership with William Saliba which Arteta has come to rely on.
The Brazilian has played every minute of the season so far for Arsenal, scoring the winner in the North London derby last weekend.
The Gunners have kept clean sheets in three out of their four matches, having only conceded once all season.
Arsenal currently sit second in the Premier League table, trailing Man City by two points.
The Londoners will be back in action on Saturday (28 September) against Leicester City.
