Arsenal are hopeful of agreeing a Chido Obi-Martin deal despite a competing offer from Man United, sources have told Football Insider.

The north London club are working on a deal to keep the 16-year-old wonderkid at the club and have offered him a professional contract when he turns 17 on 29th November.

Obi-Martin is yet to accept the offer amid reports he is weighing up his options following a visit to Man United's Carrington training ground.

It is believed that United have offered the rising star a generous offer to make the move to Manchester.

German giants Bayern Munich are also interested in the Hale End prodigy and are pushing hard to bring the Danish forward to Bavaria.

Arsenal doing everything they can to keep Obi-Martin

The 16-year-old is arguably one of the best young players to come out of Hale End since Bukayo Saka.

Obi-Martin ended the season scoring 32 goals in the Under-18 Premier League last season, eclipsing the single-season record held by Folarin Balogun.

Back in October 2023, the prolific young striker made headlines by scoring 10 goals in an Under-16 fixture against Liverpool.

After earning promotion from the Under-16s to the Under-18s, Obi-Martin helped himself to no less than seven goals en route to a 9-0 victory against Norwich.

As a result, Arsenal are intent on keeping their young star and are confident in beating Man United and extending his stay at the club.

Arsenal are hoping to keep Obi-Martin but another Hale End product may be set to leave the club. Football Insider have revealed that West Ham are in talks to sign Reiss Nelson.
