Arsenal are set to entertain offers for Gabriel Jesus in the January transfer window amid questions over his long-term future at the Emirates.

That is according to former Man United, Tottenham and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Mikel Arteta no longer sees Jesus as a part of his plans.

This comes after Brown previously told Football Insider that the Gunners would look to sign a new striker in January to bolster their attacking options.

Jesus, 27, arrived at the Emirates in 2022 as Arteta was keen to add winning experience and quality into his squad, and he has since made 84 appearances for the club.

However, there is a growing feeling that the team has now outgrown his abilities and they will look to find better options to fill his position in the transfer market.

This season, the Brazil international has made 15 appearances across all competitions, starting just five, and has scored one goal and provided one assist.

Brown has insisted that his sale will help the club raise money which can be put towards signing a new striker or a winger to help their title bid.

Arsenal plan to cash in on Gabriel Jesus after transfer twist

Brown, who has a wealth of experience at the top level including over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that their aims to sign a number of new forwards have cast doubt over Jesus' future.

"I think they'll be open to offers in January," he told Football Insider.

"Mikel Arteta and his staff will be assessing the team and asking whether these players improve them.

"Jesus isn't viewed as somebody who can make a difference to the team.

"We know they've been looking at new strikers and wingers to improve their starting XI.

"I think that says more about where they view his future than anything else.

"So if they have the opportunity to part ways in January and get some money in, I've heard that's something they'd be interested in doing."
