Leeds United are facing a bid from a Championship rival for forward Souleymane Doukara, according to a reliable journalist.

Radio Yorkshire and talkSPORT correspondent Mark Wilson claimed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday evening that an unnamed second-tier outfit are to lodge an offer for the demoted 25-year-old.

Doukara was unused for the third consecutive league match on Tuesday night in a clear sign that he is some way down the attacking pecking order at Leeds.

In the four competitive matches under new manager Thomas Christiansen, the versatile forward has not made the matchday 18 after also being ignored for most of pre-season.

Doukara was a mainstay of the team last season under ex-manager Garry Monk, scoring six goals from 39 appearances in all competitions.

Only 30-goal top scorer Chris Wood netted more times than Doukara but Christiansen appears not to share Monk's opinion of the player.

Doukara has 10 months remaining on his contract after signing from Italian outfit Catania in the summer of 2014.
