Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is to leave the club this summer as three Premier League sides have been offered his services.

Nkunku joined Chelsea in 2023 from RB Leipzig in a deal worth £52million after an impressive spell at the German club.

The 27-year-old has struggled for regular playing time at Stamford Bridge and has only scored three Premier League goals in each of his two seasons at the club.

The Frenchman is now surplus to requirements after the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich and the expected arrival of Brighton striker Joao Pedro for £60m and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea arrivals spell end for Nkunku

Chelsea have made Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham aware that Nkunku is available this summer according to The Metro.

All three clubs have previously held talks with Nkunku and his camp over a possible transfer.

Bayern Munich were also interested in the forward in the January transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether they will revive their pursuit, with Nkunku keen to return to German.

The Metro state Chelsea are looking to receive up to £35m from any agreed sale.

Lifelines for Nkunku as Blues keen to sell

Nkunku’s time in England has so far has not been a success.

His goal scoring record at RB Leipzig meant he arrived at Chelsea with high expectations, which he has since failed to meet.

Appearances - 172Appearances - 59
Goals - 70Goals - 18
Assists - 56Assists - 5

There are plenty of players already ahead of Nkunku in the pecking order at the club and with the signing of Delap, and expected arrivals of Gittens and Pedro, that doesn’t look set to change for the Frenchman.

The Europa Conference League was the only competition Nkunku regularly featured in last season, but Chelsea are returning to the Champions League which means Enzo Maresca will not be afforded to rest any key stars.

United, Arsenal and Spurs could offer a lifeline with all three club’s potential destinations for Nkunku.

However, playing time would still be a challenge for Nkunku at any of those club’s with competition also fierce for places.

A move back to Germany may be his best bet to reignite his career and potentially put him in Didier Deschamp’s thoughts for a World Cup place.
