Leeds United supporters have demanded the West Yorkshire club make more signings after allowing Isaac Schmidt to leave on loan for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

The right-back has not featured for the Whites since their 1-1 draw with AC Milan in a pre-season friendly on 9 August.

Meanwhile, Daniel Farke's men have signed 10 players this summer, including former Leicester City defender James Justin and Germany international Anton Stach.

However, Leeds were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, 26 August, despite the Owls' financial crisis.

Farke's side were also humiliated in the Premier League on Saturday, 23 August, losing 5-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

That poor result has left Leeds supporters concerned that their side are not equipped for the challenge posed by the top flight.

The Elland Road club won the Championship title last term, but the gap between the second tier and the Premier League has widened in recent season.

Meanwhile, their opening Premier League victory over Everton on 16 August will now feel like a distant memory for the Whites faithful, who have subsequently seen their side thrashed by Arsenal and beaten by Championship strugglers Wednesday.

Farke's men face Newcastle United in their next fixture on Saturday, 30 August, which could prove challenging after the Magpies showed plenty of fight in their 3-2 defeat to Liverpool on Monday, 25 August.

Even though Anthony Gordon was sent off, the Magpies levelled the scores at 2-2 after being down to 10 men, but were left devastated by Rio Ngumoha's late winner.

Eddie Howe's men will fancy their chances of beating the Whites, which would further anger Leeds supporters.

Leeds supporters demand reinforcements as Isaac Schmidt departs

The Premier League new boys revealed via X on Thursday, 28 August that Schmidt was joining German top-flight club Werder Bremen on loan.

But Leeds fans are more concerned by the strength of their squad, with one supporter commenting: "Sign a footballer you clowns", while another said: "Three attackers needed!"
