Confirmed: Tottenham may terminate deals for highly-rated duo in January

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Tottenham may terminate the loan deals for Josh Onomah and Cameron Carter-Vickers in the January transfer window.

Onomah, 20, was loaned out to Aston Villa in the summer while Carter-Vickers, 19, is currently on a temporary deal at Sheffield United.

However they could both have their loan spells ended next month if Pochettino sees it fit for them to return to North London.

“We have the possibility to bring them back,” he said, as quoted by the Guardian when talking about clauses in the highly-rated duo's loan deals.

Onomah has been in good form for Aston Villa this term and has emerged as a mainstay of Steve Bruce's first-team.

The attacking midfielder has made 21 appearances across all competitions for the West Midlands side, scoring three goals in the process with him most recent coming in a 2-1 win over Sunderland.

One-time USA international Carter-Vickers has been equally key for Sheffield United, playing a major role in helping Chris Wilder and his men launch a serious bid for promotion.

The defender has made 13 appearances in the Championship and even managed to score his first ever senior goal on his Blades debut in September.

Both Onomah and Carter-Vickers are seen as exceptional talents in the Spurs youth ranks and are widely tipped to have roles in the first-team in the future.
