Crystal Palace could consider selling Tyrick Mitchell in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Mitchell is currently out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and can seal a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides from Wednesday (1 January).

The January window could become Palace's last chance to cash in on the defender - who has a big decision to make after a nine-year stint at Selhurst Park.

Mitchell is classed as homegrown and thus could give the Eagles a boost under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) as any sale would be classed as pure profit.

Nevertheless, it is believed a sale is a "last resort" option for Crystal Palace - which could become a reality if he does not sign a new deal.

Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Tottenham are among the clubs to be linked with a potential free transfer swoop for Mitchell.

He has started all 23 of Palace's games so far in the 2024-25 campaign and has played 90 minutes in every fixture.

Mitchell has notched three assists in the Premier League this term with the Croydon club sitting 15th in the table and five points above the drop zone.

He has racked up 151 appearances in the English top flight and made his debut for England in March 2022 against Switzerland, before starting in a win over Cote d'Ivoire three days later.
