Daniel Levy to pull out all the stops as Tottenham seal 'huge' Eberechi Eze deal - expert

Daniel Levy is set to pull out all the stops for Tottenham to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze in a "huge" transfer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Alan Hutton insisted that Levy is willing to pay the midfielder's £60million release clause to land a player of his quality.

Hutton went on to state that Eze would walk into the starting XI under Ange Postecoglou and is the exact type of player Spurs need.

The 25-year-old's agent already has connections at Spurs, with Postecoglou, Son Heung-min and James Maddison also on his books, as Hutton suggested behind-the-scenes talks are already ongoing.

Football Insider revealed on 10 June that Man United have also joined the race to sign Eze and will rival Spurs for his signature.

Having been called up to the England squad for Euro 2024, Hutton has tipped Tottenham as the favourites to sign him.

"Chats and conversations aren't always public, I imagine they're going on in the background" he told Football Insider.

"He's an outstanding footballer, really talented, and would make that team better.

"He comes in and he starts, whether it be as a number ten or wherever he wants to play, he starts. He makes them better.

"It's going to be a huge fee. We're talking about £50million or £60million. It'll be a huge fee, but the connection with his agent can help.

"For somebody who's so talented and at a good age, he goes out and plays with a smile on his face, with a lot of freedom and so much attacking quality.

"He scores goals, he gets assists, these are the types of guys you need.

"£60million is about right when you look at prices being banded about for players who aren't as good as him.

"If he's available for that price, Levy will spend it."
