Done deal: Defender signs after Leeds settle terms

New Leeds sensation Tyler Denton has capped a memorable week by being awarded a new contract by his boyhood club, it was announced on Friday.
The Yorkshire giants revealed on their official
that the 20-year-old Academy graduate has signed a three-year deal.
Left-back Denton, who scored the winner on his debut in Leeds' 1-0 EFL Cup win at Luton, was previously under contract until next summer but has penned fresh terms to keep him at Elland Road until at least 2019.
“This week could possibly be the best week of my life,” Denton told the Leeds website. “I’m so grateful to the gaffer and his coaching staff for trusting me for my debut.
"To score was a dream come true and this just tops it off. I signed a one-year deal at the start of the season and it was an incentive to do better things and keep trying to impress the gaffer.
"This new contract now gives me a stable footing and gives me something to build on. I don’t want Tuesday night to be the be all and end all – I want to carry on doing good things for Leeds United.
“My next chance will come when it comes. I’ve got great trust in Charlie (Taylor) as he’s a great player, but I’ll be prepared if my chance comes.”
Leeds legend Ian Harte, who is Denton's agent, had called on the club to give the youngster a new long-term contract earlier in the week.
The left-back produced a scintillating display on his debut in midweek, scoring the winner against Luton with a superb curling effort from the edge of the area.
Signing for Leeds at just seven, Denton is the latest example of Leeds' esteemed academy after captaining the under-21 side. The left-footer can also play in central-midfield.
Leeds manager Garry Monk drafted him into the senior squad in pre-season and Denton has been given the number 33 shirt for the season.
