Man City goalkeeper Ederson is open to leaving the club for the Saudi Pro League this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (3 March) that the shot-stopper, 31, has a “strong possibility” of leaving City in the off-season.

It is believed the English champions will continue their rebuild and refresh of Pep Guardiola's squad in the summer.

Man City are trying to reduce the age of their squad after the failures of the 2024-25 campaign and will consider big offers for Ederson.

Ederson could land 'last big contract' in Saudi Pro League

The player is believed to be open to a Saudi switch with his Etihad Stadium contract running only until June 2026.

Sources say the Brazil international could be tempted by the opportunity to secure the last "big contract offer" in his career.

Man City have already allowed Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Joao Cancelo to leave the club for the Middle East in recent years.

Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad are among the clubs racing for Ederson’s signature - with Cancelo and Laporte playing for Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr respectively.

The City goalkeeper has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season, conceding 43 goals and keeping just seven clean sheets.

McAtee could join Ederson in quitting Man City

Football Insider has been told by industry insider Mick Brown (1 March) that Man City are still open to offers for James McAtee this summer.

The attacking midfielder, like Ederson, is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium in June 2026.

He has made 21 appearances this term, scoring six goals.
