West Ham are struggling to agree a fee with Norwich City for Jordan Hugill, Football Insider can reveal.

However, industry sources have told Football Insider that the top offer currently on the table from Norwich is just £2m.

The lowball offer is £3m short of West Ham's valuation of the centre-forward, who has an impressive record in the Championship.

The Hammers could look to strike a deal with another club if discussions with Norwich remain locked at stalemate.

There is interest in Hugill from other clubs in the Championship ready to leapfrog the Canaries in the running.

David Moyes has given the go-ahead for the striker to leave after he returned from his loan spell at QPR.

West Ham need to sell before they embark on their own summer spending, and the only player who has departed so far is Albian Ajeti, who joined Celtic last week for £4.5million rising to a potential £6m with add-ons.

Hugill joined West Ham from Preston North End back in January 2018 when Moyes was in his first spell as manager.

He has struggled to make an impact for the Hammers but banged in 15 goals in 41 appearances while on loan at QPR last season and has scored a total of 42 goals in 176 matches in the second tier.
