Burnley and Fulham have set their sights on signing teenager Felix Goddard after his exit from Man City, Football Insider understands.

The Premier League duo are keen on the goalkeeper, 16, as they look to bolster their youth ranks with a top player who's trained at one of the world's biggest clubs.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Burnley and Fulham face competition for Goddard from Champions League semi-finalists Bayern.

A second German giant in Hamburg are also keen on the youngster, whose contract at City has just expired.

Goddard is open to offers and his free-agent status makes him an attractive option to his suitors.

Born in Germany to British parents, Goddard was raised in Singapore before joining the City academy at the age of 13.

He initially linked up with their Under-14s and progressed through the youth ranks before his schoolboy terms expired this summer.

Fulham and Burnley are both keen on bolstering the goalkeeper positions in their own academies and have been trailing Goddard for some time.

But they will be wary of the interest of Bayern and Hamburg following the many British youngsters who have been lured to Germany in recent years with the promise of being fast-tracked into their senior sides.

City also lost one of their senior stars to the Champions League giants earlier this window when winger Leroy Sane signed for a fee of over £50m after signing a five-year deal.
