Exclusive: Coventry City agree Frank Lampard deal
Frank Lampard has reached a full agreement to become the new Coventry City manager, sources have told Football Insider.
The 46-year-old has agreed terms on a contract with the Sky Blues after they sacked Mark Robins earlier this month.
An announcement on Lampard's appointment will come after Saturday's (23 November) home clash with Sheffield United.
It is believed Coventry chiefs did not want the ex-midfielder's first match to come against the Blades, who are second in the Championship and pushing for promotion.
Football Insider first revealed on 9 November that Lampard was a top contender for the vacancy.
He has now put pen to paper to take his first job in the dugout since leaving a caretaker role at Chelsea at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Lampard's last permanent role was with Everton, where he lasted just under a year before being sacked with a record of 12 wins in 44 games.

He has previously managed Derby in the Championship, leading them to the play-off final in the 2018-19 season where they were defeated by Aston Villa.
The 46-year-old won 20 of 46 regular-season games in the second tier before joining Chelsea in the off-season following the Wembley heartbreak.
Coventry sit 17th in the table ahead of their Championship clash with Sheffield United and have won just four of their 15 league games this season.
Lampard could take charge of his first game away at Burnley next Tuesday (26 November).
