Crystal Palace have an active interest in Fluminense winger Jhon Arias heading into the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed scouts are keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old, who has long been linked with a potential Premier League switch.

Struggling Palace will be in the market for a versatile forward who can operate wide when the transfer window opens in the new year.

Arias fits the bill after his impressive spell in Brazil with Fluminense, which started after he left his native Colombia in 2021.

The winger hit 15 goals and notched eight assists in 53 games across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

He has made 27 appearances for Colombia and played every game at Copa America in the summer as his country were beaten in the final against Argentina.

Arias has averaged a goal almost every four games during his time with Fluminense, with whom he lifted the Copa Libertadores trophy in 2023.

The right-footed ace primarily plays on the right flank but can also play on the left side, as well as in a shadow striker role.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have struggled for goals in the 2024-25 campaign so far and sit 17th in the Premier League table.

Oliver Glasner's side, who lost France international Michael Olise in the summer window, have hit just 14 top flight goals this term - the joint-second fewest in the league.
