John Terry agrees terms of new one-year Chelsea contract
First published: 26th March, 2015, 8:09 AM EXCLUSIVE | By Chelsea correspondent Tony Hughes John Terry will stay at Chelsea next season after agreeing the terms of a new one-year contract with the club.
"That is what the club wants, that’s what John wants and that is going to happen."
The centre-back has not been put off by Chelsea’s policy of awarding 12-month extensions to players over 30 who are out of contract.
Speaking recently about his future, Terry said: "There has been a load of talk about me and the club speaking. It will happen, we both know it will happen. We are relaxed about it. I trust the club, they trust me. I’m sure things will happen soon. With the one-year roll-ons (club policy for players over 30), it’s a point to prove, it’s fighting for that next year.”
