Leeds United want to bolster three positions in their squad ahead of the start of the Premier League campaign, sources have told Football Insider.

Daniel Farke is eager to add a new first-choice goalkeeper to his ranks, as well as more depth at right-back and in central midfield.

Sources say that work is going on behind the scenes to make these deals happen before the transfer window shuts.

Leeds are aiming to become the first promoted side to avoid immediate relegation from the Premier League in three years.

Farke has no confidence in Meslier

For some time Farke has been desperate to bring a new goalkeeper to Elland Road, as he doesn't want to begin the season with Illan Meslier between the sticks.

Last season, Meslier made a number of high-profile errors, but in spite of that the Yorkshire side still managed to clinch the Championship title.

Leeds have shown an interest in Sam Johnstone from Wolves, but could be forced to battle with fellow promoted side Sunderland for his signature.

Farke also wants to ensure that the rest of his squad is well-stocked and would welcome additions at right-back and centre midfield.

Leeds look to move on unwanted winger

Meanwhile, Everton could reignite their interest in signing Leeds winger Jack Harrison despite opting against a permanent deal when his loan spell ended, sources have told Football Insider.

David Moyes is “desperate” to strengthen his team out wide this summer after losing both Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom when their loan deals expired.

Former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Moyes did not rate Harrison as part of his plans for the future at Everton.

However, if they fail in their pursuit of other key targets for the position, the Leeds man remains on the list of options at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
