Liverpool are set for a late-window signing blitz with talks advancing on multiple deals, sources have told Football Insider.

The Merseyside club are working on multiple deals after what has been a quiet window so far for Liverpool in the post-Jurgen Klopp era.

There hasn't been a single incoming first-teamer at Anfield after the departures of Joel Matip, Adrian, and Thiago's retirement.

That is about to change as the club seeks to rectify the issues that plagued the squad as their title challenge fell apart last season.

Liverpool are working on bringing in a wide forward, centre-back, and a defensive midfielder for new manager Arne Slot.

Liverpool work on multiple deals as talks advance in the next days

During his time at the club, Klopp wasn't able to spend the vast amounts of money that rivals Manchester City and Chelsea had available.

As a result, Liverpool now have a small pool of top-quality players with few squad options that are able to impact a game, unlike rivals Man City who are stacked with talent.

Mohamed Salah, 32, and Virgil Van Dyke, 33, will need replacing sooner rather than later, especially if they're going to build upon Klopp's work.

Last season's title challenge fell apart as Liverpool dropped points in five of their last eight Premier League games, including a 2-0 defeat to local rivals Everton.
