Liverpool could still allow Fabio Carvalho to leave on loan this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed a decision will be made on the forward’s future once Slot and his squad return to Merseyside after the end of their tour of the United States.

However, Liverpool still believe in the forward's long-term future at Anfield and aren't willing to let him go permanently.

Sources say clubs from England and overseas are queuing up for the chance to take Carvalho on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.

Any deal is likely to come later in the summer transfer window as Liverpool finalise business of their own.

Liverpool will only sanction loan exit for Carvalho

Carvalho is attracting interest following his impressive six-month stint on loan at Hull City in the second half of the 2023-24 campaign.

He struggled for regular game time at RB Leipzig in the first half of the season but notched nine goals and two assists in 20 Championship games with the Tigers earlier this year.

The Portugal Under-21 international joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2022 and is under contract at Anfield until June 2027.

He has hit three goals in 21 senior appearances for the Reds to date but started in just eight of those outings.
