Celtic winger Nicholas Kuhn is expected to undergo a medical at Italian side Como today, sources have told Football Insider.

Kuhn, 25, who has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including RB Leipzig and Newcastle, is now headed to the Serie A side.

Kuhn has agreed terms with Como on a deal worth around £15million that could rise further with add-ons.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has publicly confirmed that he expects the winger to complete a transfer soon.

Last season, the German started 24 league games for the Hoops, scoring 13 goals and picking up nine assists.

The attacker also impressed in the Champions League, scoring in the second leg of Celtic's narrow play-off defeat to Bayern Munich.

Celtic to make profit on Kuhn

Celtic signed Kuhn from Austrian side Rapid Vienna in January 2024, for a reported fee of around £3million.

Brendan Rodgers' side look set to make a big profit on the 25-year-old, with Como expected to pay around five times that figure to secure his services.

Last month (18 June), Football Insider exclusively revealed that Celtic would demand between £15m-£20m for Kuhn.

Although the Germany Under-20 international is under contract in Glasgow until 2029, Como's offer of £17.3m has proved too big for the Scottish champions to turn down.

Celtic respond to Tottenham interest in Maeda

Maeda’s form exploded at Celtic Park last season as he became Rodgers’ main man in the wake of Kyogo Furuhashi’s exit to Rennes, with 16 Premiership goals and a total tally of 33 in all competitions.

Sources have told Football Insider that Brentford, Tottenham and West Ham are all keen to bring Maeda to the English capital, and further afield, Fenerbahce are also interested in the Japanese international.

Celtic are in no mood to lose Maeda this summer, however, and Football Insider sources have said that it will take offers of no less than £25m for Rodgers’ side to even contemplate selling their star attacker.
