Notts County midfielder Dan Crowley is undergoing a medical at MK Dons on Tuesday (14 January) ahead of a permanent switch, sources have told Football Insider.

The Buckinghamshire side have agreed a deal with the Magpies to take the 27-year-old to Stadium MK.

Crowley's contract at Meadow Lane had been set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Notts County have already secured reinforcements in the attacking midfield area, bringing Charlie Whitaker in on a free transfer from Everton - in a deal first revealed by Football Insider (13 January).

Crowley, who joined Notts County from Morecambe in 2023, has hit four goals and notched seven assists in 19 appearances across all competitions this term.

18 of those outings have come as part of the starting lineup for Stuart Maynard's side, who sit sixth in League Two after six games.

Crowley came through the ranks at Aston Villa and Arsenal and joined Dutch side Willem II after leaving the Gunners in 2017.

He spent two years in the Netherlands before returning to England - where he has played for Birmingham, Hull, Cheltenham, Morecambe and Notts County.

The attacking midfielder, 27, joins MK Dons with Scott Lindsey's side sitting 11th in League Two and six points adrift of a playoff place.

Meanwhile, Notts County are sixth and just two points adrift of the automatic promotion spots.

Crowley's new side are next in action against league leaders Walsall on Saturday (18 January), while the Magpies face Accrington Stanley on the same day.
