Paudie O’Connor has been offered a new long-term contract at Lincoln City, sources have told Football Insider.

The League One side have moved to fend off interest in the defender, who is a target for a number of Championship and League One clubs.

Lincoln's club captain, 27, is in the final six months of his contract at Lincoln and clubs in the second and third tier have been keeping tabs on his situation.

O'Connor has been a virtual ever-present for The Imps in League One this term.

He has made 31 appearances across all competitions for Michael Skubala's side in the 2024-25 campaign, notching three goals and three assists.

The defender, who came through the youth ranks with Limerick and Leeds, has been with Lincoln since July 2022.

O'Connor has made 127 appearances in total for the Imps after joining from Bradford on a free transfer.
