Swansea and Oxford are preparing offers for TSV Hartberg winger Ruben Providence, sources have told Football Insider.

The 23-year-old has impressed on trial at both clubs, and they’re now keen to sign him on a permanent contract.

Providence linked up with Oxford last week and featured in their recent pre-season win over Southampton.

The winger also played for Swansea during their pre-season clash against Rio Ave, allowing both clubs the chance to assess him.

Swansea and Oxford are now keen to follow up on their interest by making formal offers to his Austrian club, TSV Hartberg.

Providence came through the youth system at Paris St Germain before joining Roma back in 2019, eventually making the switch to Hartberg last summer.

Providence is still a promising talent, but he has built plenty of experience throughout his career.

The winger has made 48 Austrian Bundesliga appearances, where he’s scored eight goals and provided six assists.

Last season Providence made 32 appearances for Hartberg in all competitions, scoring twice and creating three assists.
