Paul Robinson claims West Ham "will be looking" to sign a long-term replacement for Aaron Cresswell amid interest in RB Leipzig's Matthew Bondswell.

The former England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed while replacing Cresswell "will not be high on David Moyes's priority list" it will be a position being targeted by the club's scouting network.

The left-back, who celebrates his 31st birthday next week, still has three years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium having renewed terms last year.

However, the Premier League club face stiff competition from Chelsea and Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon for the 18-year-old's signature.

When asked by Football Insider if David Moyes needed to sign a long-term successor for Cresswell next year, Robinson said: "It is something that they will be looking to do.

"I do not think it will be high on David Moyes's priority list but the scouting network that is in place at West Ham will be identifying targets.

"It will be something West Ham are looking at for sure.

"Cresswell does not need to be replaced immediately but a plan will be in place because every player has a lifespan at a club and they will need a long-term successor."
