Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is ready to quit the club this summer, Football Insider understands.

The Englishman, 28, has spent almost the entirety of this season on the bench after losing his number one spot to 2018 signing Allan McGregor.

A source close to the player has told Football Insider that Foderingham is looking for a new club who can offer him a regular starting role and is open to remaining in Scotland or returning south of the border.

The keeper was signed by ex-Gers manager Mark Warburton from Swindon Town in 2015 on a free transfer after previous spells in the youth ranks of Fulham and Crystal Palace.

He was the undisputed number one at Ibrox for three seasons and has made 136 appearances for the club, conceding 142 goals with 51 clean sheets.

The former England youth international has played in just six matches this season following the arrival of McGregor for his second spell at the club.

As revealed by Football Insider, Rangers have set their sights on signing St. Johnstone keeper Zander Clarke as they look to overhaul their keeping department.

Foderingham's contract expires in the summer of 2020.
