Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted he is expecting "stability" at Newcastle United this summer.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed there will not be "massive" movement, incoming or outgoing, in the off-season.

Newcastle currently sit seventh in the Premier League and are jostling with Chelsea and Manchester United for European qualification.

Magpies stars, including Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes, are wanted by Premier League rivals amid a backdrop of Financial Fair Play struggles at St James' Park.

Newcastle must hold on to Guimaraes and Isak this summer, says Wyness

Wyness insisted "stability" is key at Newcastle this summer as the club braces for a "really big year in 2025".

He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I think the players have bought into the project at Newcastle.

“Eddie Howe has done a superb man-management job up there, and I just think it has been injuries as the biggest issue for them this season.

“I would expect some stability this summer, keeping the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak.

“There’ll be some ins and outs, but nothing massive.

“They’ll then be poised for a huge year in 2025 in terms of superstar signings, where they can make a big push.”
