Lazio are ready to submit an offer for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, sources have told Football Insider.

However, they are not the only Serie A club interested in the Englishman as Juventus have already had a bid rejected by the Red Devils.

The Premier League outfit remains in talks with both clubs and want to sell Greenwood on a permanent deal, but they are holding out for a fee of £30million or more.

The 22-year-old is out of contract with Manchester United in June 2025 and hasn’t played for the club since the 2021-22 campaign.

The Manchester United forward offers a goal threat

Despite Manchester United being the joint-lowest scoring team in the top half of the Premier League last season, the club remains open to letting Greenwood move on due to the controversy surrounding him.

The Englishman spent last season on loan at Getafe and flourished for the Spanish outfit by scoring 10 goals in 36 games across all competitions.

He also created six assists, proving his attacking qualities remain sharp, while his versatility to be played anywhere across the frontline makes him a potentially valuable asset.

While Manchester United looks to sell an attacking prospect, the club is attempting to strengthen the squad at the other end of the field.
