Leeds United have been tipped to sign Callum O'Hare from Coventry as a replacement for Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to his friend Alan Hutton.

O'Hare is set to leave Coventry when his contract expires on 30 June and will become available on a free transfer with Daniel Farke's side poised to swoop.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa star Hutton explained that both Summerville and Georginio Rutter could leave this summer and a quality replacement will be needed.

Hutton, who played alongside O'Hare at Villa and remains good friends with him, insisted the 26-year-old fits the mould for Leeds and would be an "exciting" signing.

The midfielder missed the beginning of last season with a cruciate ligament injury, but featured 36 times in all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing four assists.

He also played a key role in Coventry's run to the FA Cup semi-final, but missed his penalty as they were defeated by Man United.

However, Hutton has now backed Leeds to beat their rivals to his signature amid high praise for his talent, insisting he would fit in well at Elland Road.

"He fits the bill that Leeds like, he's an exciting player," he told Football Insider.

"Especially if they're going to lose somebody like Summerville or Rutter who could possibly be leaving this summer as well.

"They're going to need to bring somebody in to replace these guys.

"He's very technically gifted, he's got an eye for a pass and he can score goals, and he's still at a good age and he's got experience at this level.

"I think that is something Leeds are definitely looking at and he suits them well."
