Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Eunan O'Kane for his performance in the 2-1 win against Bolton at Elland Road on Friday afternoon.

O'Kane, 27, has come under-fire from Leeds supporters for the past few months and many were shocked when Paul Heckingbottom named him in his starting line-up before the game.

And it seems that the fans' fears about the Ireland international were justified when those on social media believed that the ex-Bournemouth midfielder had yet another stinker, mainly laying blame at him for Adam Le Fondre's 53rd minute goal for Bolton.

One supporter claimed that the Whites must "get rid" of the 27-year-old senior player, while another said that he "continually offers nothing".

Here is a selection of their tweets:

O'Kane has been ever-present in the Leeds squad under Thomas Christiansen and Heckingbottom.

He was undoubtedly one of the best players in the first couple of months of the campaign when United's form saw them briefly go top of the Championship standings.

However since then, like many other Whites players, O'Kane's form has nosedived to the point where fans are now actively urging Heckingbottom to avoid playing him in the midfield.

In all competitions this term the Irishman has made 30 appearances and supplied three assists.

Next up for Leeds is a clash against high-flying Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday.
