Leeds forward makes admission about next season with deal rapidly approaching expiry
Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson has admitted that he is not thinking about what is going to happen next season until his loan deal at Blackburn ends.
Antonsson, 26, has been in good form during his temporary spell at Ewood Park, scoring eight goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.
The Swedish striker was allowed to leave Leeds on loan last summer but his deal at Blackburn is now rapidly approaching expiry.
However Antonsson has insisted that he will not yet think about what will happen in the summer and where he will be playing as he is fully focussed on helping Rovers win promotion from League One.
"I want to focus on the last seven games here to win promotion with Blackburn and after that I can focus on what is going to happen next year," he said, as quoted by the Lancashire Telegraph.
“It’s been very good for me.
“Playing games in a team that’s winning games most weeks is unbelievable and I’m happy so far.
“It’s enjoyable playing in this team, I’m enjoying every single minute and it’s so nice to be up there top of the league, pushing for promotion."

Antonsson never got much of a chance at Leeds but no one can really blame Garry Monk for overlooking him when he had Chris Wood firing on all cylinders last season. He has done well at Blackburn despite suffering injury and also being shifted into a more wide role by Tony Mowbray. Even though he has recaptured his form at Ewood Park, Leeds should look into offloading Antonsson permanently in the summer. The Whites should be able to boost their transfer budget by getting rid of the deadwood they currently have on their books. The ex-Kalmar forward is certainly someone who should be up for sale.
