Leeds United have narrowed their striker search to Hamburg's Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Malmo's Pawel Cibick, according to a reliable journalist.

Radio Yorkshire journalist Joe Rawson reported on his personal Twitter account on Monday night that the Championship giants are concentrating on the overseas-based duo in the final 72 hours of the window.

Rawson raised the possibility in an exchange on the social media site with one supporter that Leeds could sign both Lasogga and Cibicki.

Indeed, he went as far as to suggest that Leeds had almost sealed a deal for Lasogga, 25, who they have been closely linked with over the last month.

Rawson explained of the German striker that it "looks like that's about done, long as personal terms are agreed".

He suggested that Leeds' pursuit of Cibicki, 23, was not as advanced although he claimed the Swede could still arrive at Elland Road by Thursday.

Leeds are in the market for at least one front man after the departure of Chris Wood to Burnley last week for an initial £15million.

Leeds have 19-year-old Dutchman Jay-Roy Grot and the injured Caleb Ekuban as their only orthodox options to lead the line of attack.
