Man City will accept offers of £20million to let Kalvin Phillips leave for good this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that Everton have made a move to sign Phillips as a replacement for the outgoing Amadou Onana.

Sources say the midfielder is keen to get his career back on track after a failed loan move to West Ham in the second half of last season.

City paid £42million to sign Phillips from Leeds just two years ago and could now sell him for less than half the price in an attempt to get him off their books.

Phillips joined City in 2022 and has been part of the squad which won the Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and two Premier League titles.

However, he has made just 31 appearances under Pep Guardiola, with 17 of those appearances coming from the bench as he struggled to replace Rodri in the starting XI.

A loan move to West Ham saw him make just ten appearances after falling out of favour thanks to poor performances under David Moyes and clashing with fans.

As a result, City are looking to cut their losses and will sanction a hugely cut-priced deal in a bid to offload him as quickly as possible this summer.

Sean Dyche has been tipped as the man to get his career back on track as he wants a proven Premier League midfielder to reinforce his options in the middle.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that the Toffees have made their first move to sign Phillips, although they are yet to make a formal offer.
