Man United are in advanced talks to agree a new deal for Kobbie Mainoo, sources have told Football Insider.

An agreement between the Red Devils and the 18-year-old is now very close, with a "huge" pay hike being offered by the club.

Sources told Football Insider last month that the teenager is ready to pledge his future to the Manchester outfit and sign a bumper new deal.

The Man United academy graduate has made 27 appearances for the club, scoring three goals from midfield.

Mainoo’s impressive displays at club level recently caught the eye of England manager Gareth Southgate, with the teenager now boasting two caps for the Three Lions.

And he is now close to committing his future to his club, having represented the Red Devils across various competitions, such as the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

The current talks come despite the 18-year-old only signing his latest deal in Manchester in February 2023.

The midfielder has been key for Erik ten Hag this season, with the club still fighting for a strong finish in the Premier League, currently occupying seventh place.

Mainoo and the Red Devils are also into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they take on Coventry on Sunday (21 April).
