Matheus Cunha explodes after Chelsea loss amid Wolves exit uncertainty
Wolves striker Matheus Cunha appears to have exploded after claims made by The Express and Star's Wolves correspondent Liam Keen.
The Brazilian striker had been accused of going straight down the tunnel after the 3-1 loss to Chelsea, rather then going over to thank the travelling fans for their support.
This comes during continued uncertainty over the star forward's future with the Molineux club.
However, in response to Keen's tweet, an X account seemingly belonging to Cunha with 24,000 followers, responded to the post by saying: "liar. I went to applaud them, congratulated the referees and the opposing players. Then I went to the tunnel.
"Don't ever come and ask me to give you an interview again."
It was expected that the former Atletico Madrid player would sign a contract extension with the Midlands club this month, however, Mick Brown told Football Insider exclusively that Cunha was likely to turn down the offer.

Cunha has been a standout player in a tumultuous season for Wolves, and his good form has seen him linked with a move away from Molineux.
As reported exclusively by Mick Brown to Football Insider, Arsenal are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on the Brazilian.
Mikel Arteta is in the market for more forwards, having seen Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus suffer season ending injuries, Cunha's versatility and ability to cover both those players may make him the ideal target for the Gunners.
Comments made by Wolves manager Vitor Pereira after the loss to Chelsea (20 January) have done little to quell rumours of the Brazilian's exit, Pereira criticised Cunha's "body language" in his post-match interview. [BBC Sport]
The Brazilian is well liked by Wolves fans, despite the chances that he may be leaving Molineux soon, and he is seen as a key figure in helping Wolves attempt to avoid relegation this season.
Cunha is Wolves' top goal-scorer this season with 10 goals, and Jorgen Strand Larsen has not done enough to convince that he can step up to be a permanent replacement for the Brazilian if Cunha leaves.
