on Monday that Belgian flyer De Bock, 25, is due to have a medical with Leeds in the next 24 hours as he closes in on becoming Thomas Christiansen's latest addition to the squad.
HLN reporter Tomas Taecke had earlier claimed on his
on Monday that
. It now seems that the move could accelerate very quickly after De Bock was given the go ahead to leave the Belgian Jupiler League, in which he has barely featured this season for Brugges, who are 11 points clear at the summit of the top-flight.
Football Insider verdict
Leeds need a left-back desperately and it seems that they could have one in the bag by the time they play against Ipswich at the weekend. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s performance against Newport County on Sunday was as bad as it gets for a Leeds player. He disgraced the club with an inept display against League Two opposition and really should be sent back to Manchester United with his tail between his legs. Gaetano Berardi has done a decent job at left-back filling in because of Borthwick-Jackson’s poor form. But now it seems that De Bock has been signed up to go straight into Thomas Christiansen’s first-team.
