Greg Docherty is set to complete his move from Hamilton to Rangers after a £650,000 deal was agreed, according to a report.
The Daily Record claims that the two clubs have finally reached agreement after a previous bid had been rejected.
Docherty will now undergo a medical at Ibrox and finalise personal terms ahead of the move being announced.
The Daily Record does claim that the deal for the 21-year-old midfielder has yet to be agreed by chairman Dave King but it is said that is expected on Wednesday.
Thius comes after STV reported that after an initial £350,000 bid had been rejected, that Rangers were willing to increase their offer.
That looks to have almost doubled now to allow Docherty to complete his dream move ahead of the weekend.
Rangers play Aberdeen tonight as the Scottish Premiership resumes.
