Norwich City defender James Husband is poised to join Blackpool, Football Insider understands.

The 25-year-old does not feature in Daniel Farke's plans ahead of Norwich's return to the Premier League this season.

A source at Norwich has told Football Insider that the 25-year-old Husband is currently undergoing a medical at Bloomfield Road with the defender way down the pecking order at Carrow Road.

Husband spent last season on loan at League One Fleetwood Town, where he made 36 appearances in all competitions.

Blackpool have moved for Husband as a replacement for Marc Bola with the left-back expected to leave the club before the close of the transfer window.

Husband has previously played for Doncaster and Middlesbrough, along with loan spells at Fulham and Huddersfield.

He has featured a total of 22 times for Norwich's first-team, while he has 59 minutes of Premier League experience under his belt after playing for Middlesbrough back in 2017.
