Newcastle United fans believe the club should make a move for Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix after Crystal Palace reportedly submit an offer for the Frenchman.

Football Insider revealed (August 21) that Newcastle have had their hopes of signing Marc Guehi hit after Fulham had a bid accepted for Joachim Andersen.

Palace are looking to sign the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Andersen for £12m fixed fee plus £2m add-ons.

Lacroix has made 130 appearances and scored seven goals for the German club since making the move from French club Sochaux in 2018.
