Nottingham Forest are bracing themselves for transfer interest in Murillo this summer amid financial concerns at the City Ground.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that interest in the Brazilian, among other top players at the club, is likely to grow in the summer.

The threat of further financial issues continues to plague Forest, who may have to let more than one key player leave to balance the books.

This comes following information from Football Insider sources that Forest will be forced to sell players before 30 June to avoid another points deduction.

A £34million breach of profit and sustainability rules will need to be balanced out to avoid further threat of points deductions.

Murillo could leave Nottingham Forest after transfer news

Murillo has made 30 Premier League appearances this season, establishing himself as a key player in the fight against relegation.

The Brazilian defender, 21, arrived at the City Ground last summer for an £11million transfer fee and quickly became one of the most impressive players in the squad.

His performances have generated interest from elsewhere and he may be ready to leave Forest if the club decide to cash in.

Any acceptable fee for Murillo will see Forest make a generous profit on a player they bought just one year ago and could go a long way towards balancing the books.
