Alexandre Pato has big shoes to fill at Chelsea after the club confirmed he will wear Didier Drogba's former number 11 shirt.

The Brazilian striker has joined the champions on loan until the end of the season and could make his debut for Guus Hiddink's side against Watford tomorrow night.

Chelsea announced on Tuesday that Pato has been handed Drogba's iconic number, which had been given to Juan Cuadrado at the start of the season before his season-long loan move to Juventus.

The Ivorian's famous number 11 shirt was initially taken on by Oscar after Drogba's first exit in 2012 but the Brazilian relinquished it when Drogba returned for his second spell at Stamford Bridge in 2014.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's other January signing Matt Miazga will wear number 20 after completing a £3.5million move to Stamford Bridge from New York Red Bulls.

Chelsea's number seven shirt, which previously belonged to Ramires, has been left vacant.
