Pundit issues 'next level' Gabriel Jesus claim as Arsenal deal agreed

Gabriel Jesus will score a lot of goals for Arsenal next season.

That's according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners' next signing.

Arteta’s side have already moved to renew Eddie Nketiah’s contract during the off-season – while Alexandre Lacazette has left the club for Lyon at the end of his deal.

With Jesus set to be the main striker at the Emirates next season, Kenny is claiming he will score goals for fun if Mikel Arteta's side create as many chances as they did last term.

"I really do think he can go to that next level," Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

"He's a great age and I think he has something like one goal in every three games for Man City. He has never been the maion striker at Man City either.

"Arsenal create a lot of chances so, for me, if Arsenal create the same amount of chances as they did last season with that man up front, he will score a lot of goals.

"I think he will be the man."

Arsenal

Arsenal have already announced the signings of Fabio Viera and Marquinhos this summer.

The Gunners will play Europa League football in the 2022/23 season.
