Rangers are set to remain active in the winter transfer window going into its final days.

The Gers are no doubt well in the title race, with the gap to the summit being closed to four points after their 3-0 win over Dundee on Sunday.

Now, Rangers are eyeing further reinforcements to improve their hopes of achieving this, with Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi being targeted.

However, if the transfer goes through, surely it will be the end of Bojan Miovski’s time at Ibrox.

Bojan Miovski surely to request Rangers departure if Ryan Naderi is signed

According to Sky Sports on 26 January, Rangers have placed a £2.6million bid for Naderi.

The 22-year-old striker is keen on the move, with Hansa Rostock eyeing a potential replacement before they sanction any deal.

While Danilo is already attracting interest away from Ibrox, surely Miovski will be eyeing a move away as well if the transfer goes through.

The North Macedonia striker has already struggled for game time in recent weeks, only starting one of the last six matches.

While he was given a chance to impress against Dundee with a place in the starting XI, he once again failed to find the back of the net.

  • Miovski joined Rangers in the summer from Girona
  • The striker has previously been highly successful in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen
  • However, he has struggled for form at Ibrox

With Youssef Chermiti already preferred over Miovski, the arrival of Naderi would only limit his game time further.

Therefore, surely Miovski will soon request a transfer away from Ibrox in the hopes of getting his career back on track.

Does Miovski deserve more chances at Rangers?

According to Fotmob on 26 January, Miovski have been awful in the Scottish Premiership so far this campaign.

Not only is he struggling to find the net, but he is also rarely succeeding elsewhere on the pitch.

Per 90 minutes, he is only producing 1.70 shots, 0.80 chances created, 12.5 per cent successful dribbles and 3.75 touches in the opposition box.

Bojan Miovski's Scottish Premiership stats this seasonPer 90 minutes
Goals 0.27
Shots 1.70
Chances created 0.80
Successful dribbles 12.5%
Touches in opposition box 3.75
Miovski has some terrible stats this season

Therefore, it is quite clear that there are few stats that indicate that Miovski should be continuing to pick up minutes at Ibrox.

As a result, if the striker does want to leave Rangers, Danny Rohl should not stand in his way, with it being clear that the summer signing has not worked out at the Old Firm side.
