Eduardo Herrera played the second half of Rangers' 3-2 Scottish Premiership defeat to Hibernian on Saturday - and supporters took to Twitter to destroy his performance.

Ten-man Rangers took an early lead at Ibrox through summer signing Alfredo Morelos but Neil Lennon's side were 2-1 up at the break and scored three times in total before a late James Tavernier strike narrowed the deficit.

Despite late pressure from the home side, Hibs secured all three points and secured a notable win in front of 49,639 supporters.

A key moment in the match was the red card handed to midfielder Ryan Jack 36 minutes into the match following an overly robust tussle with Dylan McGeouch.

It prompted a tactical reshuffle from Pedro Caixinha, which meant the team switched to five at the back and Herrera was brought on along with Danny Wilson as part of a half-time double substitution that led to the exits of Daniel Candeias and Lee Hodson.

But supporters were unimpressed by the second-half contribution of striker Herrera, who failed to make much of an impact.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Herrera was signed by Rangers for £1.5million from Mexican side Pumas this summer.

He is yet to score in three appearances for the Glasgow giants, which included a start in last weekend's 2-1 league win against Motherwell.
