Rangers will have to sell two stars players before they can consider making an offer for loan star Abdallah Sima, sources have told Football Insider.

However, it is believed the Premier League club want £8million for the forward - a fee Rangers haven't spent for around 20 years.

Philippe Clement's side will be at the front of the queue to land Sima this summer, with the Senegal international keen to make the move after his time at Ibrox in the 2023-24 campaign.

But Rangers will have to raise the required funds by selling players of their own over the off-season.

Tavernier and Goldson sales could fund Sima deal for Rangers

James Tavernier and Connor Goldson are in demand at Ibrox and could lead an exodus of talent this summer.

Sima is only under contract at Brighton until June 2025 and is yet to make a senior appearance for the club after joining three years ago.

Rangers

The Senegal international, who can play on the left and right flanks as well as centre-forward, scored 16 goals and notched two assists for Rangers on loan last season.

He made 29 starts for the Ibrox club in 39 total appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
