Rangers fans are encouraging the club to cash in on Connor Goldson after interest emerged from Birmingham City.

Reports claimed the newly relegated League One outfit are plotting a surprise move to sign Goldson as they look to bounce straight back to the Championship.

Football Insider previously revealed that fears are growing at Ibrox about a possible exit amid interest from Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ettifaq.

Goldson, 31, swapped England for Scotland in 2018, and a deal with Birmingham would represent a move closer to home for the Wolverhampton-born defender.

Since arriving in 2018, Goldson has made 309 appearances for Rangers, lifting the Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup and SPFL title during his spell.

He made 48 appearances across all competitions last season, but his inconsistent displays towards the end of the season have led to questions about his long-term future.

After hearing news of interest from England, Rangers fans are urging the club to accept a bit if and when it arrives, with one saying the deal should be done "ASAP".
