Moroccan striker Ousama Siddiki has been pictured signing a contract at Leeds.

The 19-year-old was snapped putting pen-to-paper in a picture that was uploaded by the unofficial Leeds United Academy Twitter account on Friday.

Siddiki, who has spent the last two years in the youth set-up of Spanish titans Real Madrid, was also pictured outside Elland Road on the personal Twitter account of Brais Lorenzo, who claims to work for agency Stellar Group.

Siddiki is yet to make his competitive debut after rising through the ranks at Rayo Vallecano, Colmenar and Madrid.

There has been no official comment made by Leeds, but the unofficial academy account is becoming an increasingly reliable source of news.

The Yorkshire club have been very active in the transfer market this summer and the only incoming youth player they have so far announced is Madger Gomes, who is one of ten new confirmed faces at Elland Road.

Football Insider Verdict

Although Siddiki is a completely unproven player, signing a player from Real Madrid really highlights the advantage of having links to Spain. Victor Orta, of Spain, is the club's director of football and it's likely that he had some say in this deal, as well as new boss Corberan, who was born in Valencia. There are huge opportunities in tapping into the Spanish youth system, as the nation is without doubt one of the world's best producers of young talent at the moment. Siddiki hails from Morocco but has spent his entire footballing career on the Iberian peninsula. He could become a big star in the future for Leeds, or at the very least, a good investment.
