Tottenham are ready to accept January offers for defender outcast Eric Dier, sources have told Football Insider.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, meaning the mid-season window is Spurs' last chance to cash in.

He made the squad for the games against Arsenal and Sheffield United last month but was omitted completely as Postecoglou's side defeated Liverpool 2-1 on Saturday (30 September).

The England international had offers in the summer window but chose to remain at the north London club.

He has since been linked with a potential reunion with ex-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho at Serie A giants Roma in the January window.

The defender is yet to play a single minute of football for Tottenham in the 2023-24 campaign.

That is despite being a regular at the heart of the Spurs defence under previous coaches Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

Just last season, Dier made 42 appearances across all competitions last season, playing exclusively as a centre-back.

Cristian Romero and summer signing Micky van de Ven have built a formidable partnership in defence for Postecoglou's side.

However, Football Insider revealed on Saturday (30 September) that the Australian is keen to add another centre-back to his Tottenham squad in January.

Spurs are one of only two sides with an unbeaten record in the Premier League this term, having picked up 17 points from a possible 21.

The Lilywhites are next in action against Luton on Saturday (7 October).
