Tottenham are lining up a summer offer for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, sources have told Football Insider.

The Bees expect the Spaniard, 27, to quit in the off-season - with manager Thomas Frank admitting he faces a major battle to convince him to stay.

Tottenham are in the market for a new goalkeeper with club captain Hugo Lloris likely to leave this summer despite having a year left to run on his contract.

Raya, whose contract also expires in June 2024, has been closely watched by Spurs' recruitment team all season and has been shortlisted as a replacement for Lloris.

The Spain international's relatively low wage by Premier League standards will make it difficult for Brentford to keep hold of him.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Tottenham are ready to offer Raya a triple-your-money deal worth nearly £100,000-a-week.

The former Blackburn man has been ever-present in the Premier League this term - conceding 46 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets in 37 starts.

Speaking last week and quoted by talkSPORT (20 May), Brentford boss Frank confirmed that Raya will be for sale this summer - with a fee of "£40million" enough to secure his services.

Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana also feature on the wanted list for the Blues.

Tottenham captain Lloris struggled for form in the first half of the 2022-23 campaign and has also battled injury problems since returning from the World Cup.
