Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has agreed personal terms with Kilmarnock, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old’s deal to join the Ayrshire club is expected to be finalised within 24 hours, allowing him to make the switch and get started with pre-season.

McCrorie has one year remaining on his Ibrox deal, and Rangers have attempted to extend that multiple times.

The Gers have made several offers to the goalkeeper, but he rejected them in search of regular first-team football.

Sources say that the Scottish goalkeeper has decided he wants to be a number one somewhere, which is why he’s choosing to leave Rangers.

McCrorie has agreed terms on a two-year contract at Rugby Park, committing his future to the club.

Kilmarnock will gain a talented shot-stopper

McCrorie might have been on the books with Rangers since his youth career in 2013, but he’s only made seven first-team appearances since then.

That doesn’t mean that he lacks experience though, as he enjoyed five loan periods between 2017 and 2021 which provided him plenty of game time.

McCrorie has made 114 appearances throughout his career in various leagues, with 24 of which were in the Scottish Premiership.

However, after making just one Scottish FA Cup appearance in the entirety of last season, the goalkeeper is now backing himself and searching for more regular opportunities.

Kilmarnock

McCrorie might not be the only name exiting Ibrox in the coming days as there are question marks surrounding the future of Scott Wright.
